1． must 表示说话人认为有必要做某事，或要求、命令别人做事。在肯定句中意为“必须； 应该”。如：
You must wait when the light is red.
当灯是红色时，你应该等待。
We must wash our hands before having meals.
must 的定否定形式是 not 意为“不可以； 一定不；禁止”。如：
We mustn’t take any books out of the reading room..
我们禁止把任何书拿出阅览室.。
2. 而 should 表示建议、规劝、义务，意为“应该”，其否定式为 shouldn’t。如：
We should help and learn from each other.
我们应该相互帮助、相互学习。
You shouldn’t walk on the grass.
你不应该在草地走。
must 强调建议别人去做有必要或者说是很重要的事情，而 should 是建议某人最好做什么，语气上should 比must弱， 但是两者的相同之处是，紧跟在它们后面的动词应该用原形。
